RECOMMENDED USES
To seal to metal joints against air leaks in industrial and residential systems.
DIRECTION FOR USE
Surface Preparation: For good brushability, store at room temperature at least 24 hours before applying. Surfaces should be clean, dry and free of oil, grease and any other foreign material.
Application: Use a brush, caulking gun or pump. EverSeal should be applied to duct connections according to all applicable SMACNA standards. Apply to the inside of female fittings and outside of male fittings. Assemble the joint. Brush sealant over the assembled joint and screws with a 2" to 3" wide band. Assembly should cure for 24 to 72 hours before pressure testing the system.
Pressure Rating: EverSeal is recommended for use in HVAC duct systems which do not exceed 10" water column pressure. Fiber glass mesh scrim should be used when needed to bridge gaps in ductwork joints which may exceed 1/4".
Precautions: Do not thin Do not apply below 35°F. Do not permit installation to go below freezing for 48 hours
Clean-up: Use warm soapy water to clean up sealant while it is still wet.
